History & Community
Coast Community Church in 1998 purchased the land on which Coast Christian School currently resides. We dreamed as a church of how we could use this resource as a seven-day-a-week ministry to the community.
A year later, a vision emerged in our hearts to start a Christian school to serve families in raising their children in the way of Jesus. A year after, in 2000, we opened the doors of Coast Christian School, with 27 children.
We have been so blessed over the years to have principals and staff who are not only exceptional educators, but who also love Jesus and model his love to children and families. What a joy it has been over the last 25 years to see the school influence a generation of young lives and families with the life changing message of Jesus.

Coast Community Church
Coast Community Church commenced in Hardy’s Bay in the 1980s and is affiliated with Churches of Christ NSW & ACT. The church now meets on the same site as the school at Bensville and has a second campus at Tumbi Umbi.
The school is a ministry expression of Coast Community Church and exists to see children and families establish a Foundation for Life based on who Jesus is, His words and ways. School and Church work together in partnership in order to see this become a reality for families in our community.

Chapel
Coast Community Church holds a midweek chapel service every Thursday for Coast boys and girls and their families. It is a great opportunity not only for our senior students to be able to lead and serve, but also for our younger children to be able to engage in worship and hear about the love and message of Jesus.
Chapel is a highlight for students and staff alike. Hosted by our Stage 3 children, there is always an amazing time of worship in song led by a mixture of staff and students, an interactive game where the focus is on the passage of scripture being memorised by the school, an update on the children we sponsor through Compassion and a message presented by one of the staff (or occasionally a Year 6 student) that ties in with our Biblical studies program being taught in classes that week.

We love being part of the Coast community here at Bensville. We attend both the school and church, and love the connection between the two as I believe the combined culture and values creates such a strong, positive foundation for my kids during their early school years.

Coast Ministries
As a part of Coast Community Church’s mission to be a seven-day-a-week ministry to the community, the Church hosts several other ministries on site that run throughout the week.
Coast Community Preschool shares the same vision as school to see a Foundation for Life established in children and families, which means we have a long day care centre serving the community and many school families.
Mainly Music is also hosted in the same building as the Preschool, occurring every Monday at 10am. It’s an opportunity for parents and guardians to join in with the amazing music program and be a part of the community that exists here at Coast.
